New Zealand Adventure

This is the photo journal of an incredible two month adventure in New Zealand.  I arrived on January 14th and took the Tranz Scenic train to Wellington at the southern tip of the North Island.  From there I took the Interislander ferry from the North Island to the South Island where I began my tour of the South Island.  I rode over 700 miles on my mt. bike, took a few buses, hiked many trails, sea kayaked, and explored this amazing country.  Above are the links to my photos.  They start from the beginning of my trip and go to the end.  They also  accompanying travel journals edited from my Travel blog.

For those of you I met on my journey I’d  like to thank you for the great company.  If you want higher rez photos from trips you were on please contact me at: backyardadventuregirl@comcast.net

“One of the greatest benefits of traveling alone is that you really come into your own - it's your adventures, your experiences, your ups and your downs. You get to test yourself and in the end I think you have a much better understanding of yourself. Another plus - you get to really immerse yourself in the cultures of the places your in. With other people, it's easy to travel in a bubble. So traveling alone is kind of scary, but exciting and extremely rewarding at the same time. Good luck and enjoy it!”
