Morning in Camp 2
Morning Play Time With Taz
Happy Energized Dog
The Rising Sun
The Sun came earlier as the canyon widened. This would be our hottest day on the trail.
We used a mix of TurboPup and regular food on this trip. Taz carried his food and bowls in his pack.
Water Carved Designs
The Rock is Changing
In this section of river the rock became redder, more horizontal layered sandstone.
A Stone Bench
Now our high benches were more stone than sand.
An Empty Bird's Nest
Channel Narrowing as it Cuts Through Rock
Agave Century Plant Blooms
This kind of looks like a Yucca cactus but I haven't been able to identify it yet.
The trail leads under this giant rock balanced precariously on it's narrow pillar.
I take photos of cairns all over the world.
Time to Recharge
A stop at a spring to cool off and eat a snack.
The River and Terrain Changing
We had to be careful where we stepped. I almost took a swim near hear.
Up and Over
This was the hottest section of trail. It was exposed at mid day. The only time Taz looked like he was over heating.
Open and Exposed
The recent rains brought out the desert flowers.
Out of the Narrow Canyon
This was our highest climb so far.
