Winter In the Tahoe Sierras
Wintertime in the Sierras near Hope and Grass Valleys.
A friend of mine posted another derogatory reference to "snowflakes". It got me thinking because often the derogatory terms people use to devalue another person can actually mean something quite different when really broken down and looked at. So next time someone calls you, something you believe in, or a group you belong to "snowflakes" Thank them because it is really a compliment!
Snowflake. snow·flake /ˈsnōˌflāk/
noun: snowflake; plural noun: snowflakes; noun: special snowflake; plural noun: special snowflakes
1. A flake of snow, especially a feathery ice crystal, typically displaying delicate sixfold symmetry.
Think about it. Snowflakes are intricate ice crystals that when put together can form solid, tough ice. They can bury mountains, melt into streams that feed mighty rivers that provide water for humans, plants, and wildlife. Snowflakes are delicate, yes, but they are as strong as iron when pulled together through the force of an avalanche. They can fill the sky with intricate beauty and change the course of whole civilizations.
