The city of flowers on Lago Peten Itza. We stayed on the isla Flores. A tiny island connected by a bridge to the main city. Another amazing place to rest. I also stayed the second night at the vacation home of the Santizo family. An amazing get-a-way from the hustle of the island. Quiet, relaxing with great views of the lake and the island of Flores in the distance. Our rest day started at 3am with a trip to Tikal to watch the sun rise over the great Mayan Ruins.
