Located in a dry valley along the Chixoy river. Sacapulas is a traditional small town with a central plaza. The market was a mix of daily items and also holiday decorations, fireworks stands, and stock for Christmas presents. Large old trees provided shade in the main square. The streets were narrow and filled small shops ranging from auto mechanics, cell phones, and groceries. Samira even found some old pinball machines in one of the shops
