Ruinas de Copan is an Mayan ruins archeological site located in western Honduras. It was the most amazing ruins I saw on the trip. The ruins were at the top edge above a valley that overlooked the valley and the mountains at the other side. The forests, which didn't exist when the Mayans occupied the site, towered overhead and help create a sense of history. We saw Red Macaws and the Agouti.
